Moving On
In my countdown to the New Year, I finally arrived at the place where I am ready to move on. As I reflected on this, I realized some might think it would be because of a pandemic year. But upon more reflection, I realized, No! It’s simply time to move on.
Part of this habit is a tendency to always be looking ahead. So much that often the present is sacrificed. Slowing down and staying in the moment is a discipline and it requires every bit of discipline in know to keep from moving on.
So, linger during these last two weeks of Advent. But in your lingering, let God plant a vision for a new day.
One thing, among many, that we can learn from the pandemic is that we don’t have to go back. It’s good to go forward—every year and envision greater things for yourself, your faith, and your family.
